REVIEWS of Boiled Down Money Goo
Rated in Top 20 Personal Money Management books
by Amazon.com in Sept 2011!
This is a well written book in simple language aimed at the average person seeking financial independence and willing to sacrifice some of the material trappings of a consumerist society in the process.

This book will be very helpful for the one-third of Americans who are apparently born without the ability to delay gratification. They are the impulse buyers that all the American purveyors of useless junk depend upon for their profits. If you are feeling any amount of stress because of your financial situation, then you simply cannot afford not to buy this book. If you've already spent $100 on a Kindle, this book will help you pay for it. In it there are dozens of specific, practical examples of how to start learning a new approach to dealing with modern economic realities. There are stories that will make you laugh, and some may make you cry...that will depend on your own financial situation. If you need help, or know someone who does, then this book is for you.

"Boiled Down Money Goo” is the perfect book to read for all who are struggling financially in these tough economic times. The authors give tips for improving your personal financial picture for the future based on their own personal experience of being in debt and broke seven years ago. Within the past seven years, they’ve totally eliminated their debt, paid off their home, hold the titles to their two cars, are saving for retirement and investments, and are working less but keeping more. Congratulations – you’ve shown that your financial tips really work! The book has a great message and concludes with the final chapter summarizing 61 practical financial tips to start a budget, get out of debt, save for the future, and to be content with what you have. The authors bring home a difficult topic and make it funny, relevant, and light. Great job on your first book!

Daniel and Deborah present a great plan to secure your financial future in an easy to read format. Short, concise chapters get to the point quickly and tell you what you need to do to pay down your debt and increase your wealth. It's easy to give advice (good or bad) but you immediately know what Daniel and Deborah are telling you is good advice that works. They're living proof of that. It'll take hard work and discipline but they present everything in a simple, easy to follow, matter-of-fact manner that anybody can do. A highly recommended read for anyone who wants to be free of financial burdens and retire early. Thanks Daniel and Deborah for sharing your secrets of success. They are greatly appreciated!

What did I like best about this book? First, it's not too long but covers many financial concerns. Second, it's written with the average person in mind easy to understand with just enough humor to keep it light. And finally, having used some of the strategies I can say they do work.

This book is a quick and easy read that addresses financial issues with a direct and "no-nonsense" approach. Much of it is common sense, but that is the key ingredient that is missing with the majority of people bogged down with financial issues.
This type of approach is not painless, but it will work when combined with a small amount of self-discipline and an attitude adjustment that changes the focus from "now" to later.

I found this book a very quick and easy read. It has tips for everyone. It's written with whimsey while still delivering good pointers throughout. This book would be ideal for the 20 and 30 yr old generation but is still great for all ages. I think it would be an awesome addition for a high school economics class and should be in every high school and college library and curriculm. It's written so everyone can understand the contents and does not talk above the average person's comprehension.

Boiled Down Money Goo is simple, to the point, humorous and kept me interested. It provides very good tips and information to help people get a good grip on their money situation and to live simpler more enjoyable lives. Thanks a lot for writing it.

I believe it was Thomas of Aquin that introduced all of us to the concept of the “leap of faith.” Dan and Deborah’s guide to financial health provides some very practical, down-to-earth methods for getting your finances under control and keeping them that way without having to take a running start to cross the chasm of economic uncertainty. So many financial guides, well intended as they may be, offer mitigations that are difficult to understand, or worse yet, are really intended as a vehicle for becoming one of the author’s clients. This is not the case here. By taking the steps described in this book – even with baby steps at first – any person can become not only more solvent, but also positioned to experience a blessing that they never thought possible. This text should be on everyone’s shelf.

And aren't we in the "goo" when we spend more than we earn? This book is so well written. It hits on all the obvious and some not so obvious aspects of money management and gives us a way out of the financial mess in which we so often find ourselves. It is short and sweet (but maybe bitter to those who don't like to tighten the belt or stop buying those daily lattes!) It is an easy read and does not talk over my head like some accountants do. If you can follow these steps, you will be amazed at the amount of stress that falls away. To the authors: Thanks for your hard work and good example in first doing this and then sharing it with the rest of us!

Wow! Dan and Deb have not only written Boiled down Money Goo, they have lived it! What a great resource that is easy to read, easy to understand, and practical. For anyone who wants to get off the money tread mill, this is a must read. What an awesome gift for the newlyweds who have no clue about money or anyone else for that matter, young or old who is tied up with money problems. We really have two choices in life; be a slave to money or be the master of it, this pocket guide to prosperity will help get you where you want to be. Stop paying the "Stupid Tax", and get this book.

The book is nicely paced and very readable, with a healthy dose of humor and wit included (much of it at the expense of those who, like Daniel before he saw the light, would rather spend frivolously than save). The tips are nice and solid, and each section is written in a nice, fluid pace. The book is a pretty quick read, covering the needed material swiftly and without any excess material.
